New Posting Schedule & Other Updates

As we near two months post-launch, I have been learning more and more about my own creative process and my relationship with content creation.

Just as with Realistic Intentionality as a practice, I do believe that fine-tuning and making adjustments is essential to success.

My March plan is to post blog posts daily, but only Monday through Friday. I have noticed that I almost always fall off my writing routine on the weekend because of having my partner home from work and that we often sleep in, as I usually write upon waking. I have also noticed a bit of writer’s block from attempting to write 7 days a week. Along with that, I am hoping to begin writing my first book affiliated with this platform so I do need to adjust my writing time and priorities. And lastly, each blog post gets less than 10 views typically. Making this the least visited aspect of my platform. So, considering all that, it seems clear that adjusting the posting schedule would be the proper move. I may even make one of the weekly posts a recap of all my content to sum up all that has been spoken about that week, this allows people to find the content in one space every week and for me to save yet another day’s writing juju for my book.

As for other adjustments in the platform, I am aiming to shift my branding a bit. I made my logo super early on and I notice that it is so clean, minimalist, and almost too formal considering the casual / fun / youthful nature of most of my content. I am thinking the same core text but with more color and play to it. I am considering releasing that around the first official day of Spring.

I do plan to rehab this website in particular. I would ideally like to be able to market my social media from here a bit more simply so I may be reformatting this to suit my new branding and to accommodate better connection to my other social media. If I cannot manage to make that happen, a future shift to a completely new domain may occur sooner rather than later. This has always been a temporary solution though I was not anticipating shifting quite yet as I was hoping to generate more income before having to pay for a domain.

And lastly, as with the new branding, I am hoping to make my content more aligned with me authentically. It has felt safe and clean, when myself isn’t necessarily that vibe. I hope to add more personal touches to my content and really lean into more of a presence of my personality rather than being a vehicle for information. I just found there is only so much I can discuss informationally yet there is no bounds to my expression. Not to mention, people seem skeptical to connect to my advice and info without getting to know me first. And I can’t say I blame them.

Overall, the content will be the same at its core, just with a small shift into more personal, the branding more colorful, and the posting schedule more accommodating. I’m so excited for this next chapter and the chance to constantly fine-tune this process.
