The Importance of Wellness
Before we dive in, I want to mention that wellness looks different to everybody. It isn't always eating high protein meals, going to the gym and being a size 0. Everyone's body is different and requires a different understanding of wellness. And even more importantly, wellness is not the appearance of the body but the sensation of it.
From the inner mental world to the feeling of energy levels and the ability to function throughout the day, wellness is a huge umbrella term for the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal.
Wellness is an intention and a practice. And it is incredibly important as it affects how you operate entirely. Mental wellness affects the decisions you make and physical wellness affects how to enact those decisions.
I could right a million things I found to improve my own wellness but ultimately, you need to be able to figure out what works best for you as an individual. The main thing I am going to push here is the same thing I push in every post, mindfulness.
Be mindful of what feels good for you. Weather nutrition, exercise level, therapies, hobbies, whatever. Tune in to what feels right for you because your entire life depends on then functioning of self.
This is a call to you to began an intentional, active wellness journey today. Some people go through their days not even considering wellness, however, if you are on this blog and want to improve your life, you are now in the category of people that need to consider it actively.
Pay attention to how different foods feel past their taste. Notice what tasks in the day feel difficult to manage and what could be changed to improve them. Check into your mental health throughout the day and notice what triggers it to decline. Again, simply be mindful and your path to wellness will pave itself.
