Start Tomorrow Today
A little practice that always makes a huge difference is when I start tomorrow today. Yeah, it sounds silly but hear me out.
When I prep for the next day, it always improves my following day. It is the act of the past self looking out for the future self, and being aware of that potential in the present.
It can be as simple as making sure I am going to bed with the house tidied up, setting out my clothes for the morning, doing a good skincare routine before bed, or getting ahead of some work to lessen tomorrow's load.
It never fails to provide a boost.
A big goal for myself is to establish a nightly routine built around this concept of prepping for the next day. Not only does it benefit me when I wake up, but also, being able to go to bed with that reassurance and sense of accomplishment surely helps to get a good night's sleep.
I even apply this when I am having a less-than-ideal day. Even if my day is scrubbed, I will make it a point to use my bummer day to improve the chances of the next day being better.
What are some other ways we can look out for our tomorrow, today?
