Finding Peace with your Pace

Sometimes when you are on a goal-oriented journey where you are highly motivated and determined for success, you almost feel it is a race to the finish line. You know what you want, you know it is possible, you are taking the steps, so why can’t you just sprint ahead?

So many things however, require consistency over time. It simply is not a sprint, but a marathon. It is something that cannot be rushed.

This can be quite frustrating or unsettling. I mean, you’re doing all the right things, why isn’t it paying off?

You need to shift your mindset to find peace in a steady pace.

When changing your whole life, you want to have tons of time to fine-tune your habits. You want time to readjust to the new circumstances. You need time to iron out the new found difficulties of the upgrades. You also critically need time to really lock in in your day-to-day routine so it all becomes second nature.

Life will throw curveballs. Chaos and things that will deregulate you will occur. You need to have your new life so second-nature that when these things happen, you don’t plummet back to the way things used to me.

Your pace is a present. It allows time to maximize your potential and endurance before hitting the point of maintaining your accomplishments.

Believe me, a few months into a huge life overhaul and you are going to me tapping your foot waiting for the pay off. Practice patience and gratitude for the time given to master yourself before having the weight of success.

Find peace in the pace you are going at and the wait won’t seem like a wait at all.
