Intuition to Who You Are
I saw this graphic today on Instagram and I thought it was nearly a perfect representation of our process. Now, here, I would suggest that the first step is actually "Intuition: using intuition to figure out what you want for your intention." However, this is still worth looking at. I may even use it as inspiration to make my own.
It really is this simple (in theory - execution aside), if you set an intention and let it change your decision making, it then becomes a behaviour. A pattern of a behaviour turns into a habit. After being consistent with a habit for sometime, it becomes an intentional practice. Live and practice enough, it becomes your new programming, simply second nature. And once your whole being operates from the new programming, it's just who you are.
Using my Spanish learning journey as an example:
- Intuitively I knew I always wanted to learn another language.
- I set the intention to learn Spanish.
- I let it affect my behaviour by downloading Duolingo and then using it.
- Everyday I made sure to do my lessons and not miss a single one, making it a habit.
- For months now, I have done Spanish every single day as a practice.
- As I learn more Spanish, I am able to understand and memorise more, making it second nature.
- Now, I am someone who simply understands basic Spanish (and hopefully I will continue until I am fluent).
What are somethings you can apply to this for yourself?
- Dani 💚💙
